Kendo AI pricing explained

Kendo AI is one of the few AI role-play tools with prices on its own site. Each seat comes with a monthly allowance of role-play minutes and live-call scoring hours, and Kendo says usage is "pooled across your team, prorated if a seat is swapped, and stacks each month".

What Kendo doesn't publish: an overage rate on the current pricing page, an annual price (its screening page shows a "Save 15%" label without detail), which plan includes screening, and whether candidates use seat minutes. Billing is monthly per seat, with no annual lock shown.

What a role play costs in minutes

At list price, an 8-minute call uses about $1.67 of Max minutes ($100 / 480) or $2.44 of Pro minutes ($55 / 180). Those are our estimates, and they assume your team uses every minute it pays for. InterviewFlowAI charges $1.99 per scored role play whether a call runs 3 or 15 minutes.

What InterviewFlowAI costs for role plays

InterviewFlowAI charges $1.99 per scored AI role play. If a session can't be scored, for example because the call was too short or failed for technical reasons, it isn't charged.

There are no seat fees, setup fees or annual commitments. See InterviewFlowAI pricing.

Cost examples

Hiring: 100 candidate role plays a month

InterviewFlowAI: $1.99 per scored role play, with no seat fees or annual contract. The same account can also run a first-round AI interview for each candidate before the role play.

Kendo AI: about $2,400 a year (2 Max seats, 960 pooled minutes a month) to $3,300 a year (5 Pro seats, 900 minutes) if screening draws on pooled seat minutes. Kendo doesn't say whether candidates use seat minutes or which plan includes screening, so treat this as an estimate. If candidates do draw on minutes your team already pays for, Kendo may be cheaper for sales-only screening.

Training: 10 reps for a year

Kendo AI: 10 Pro seats cost $6,600 a year and 10 Max seats $12,000. Both include live-call scoring hours.

InterviewFlowAI: $1.99 per scored role play, with no seat fees or annual contract.

The catch: each person gets one attempt at each InterviewFlowAI role play, so practising the same scenario again means creating a new or cloned role play. There's no live-call scoring. If your reps practise daily and you want their real calls scored, Kendo is the better tool for that job.

How the two compare in practice

Building a scenario

Kendo lets you build fully custom personas and unlimited bots for objections, cold calls, discovery, closing and follow-ups, and its screening tool builds an AI prospect from your real calls. Outdoo, a competitor, reports that Kendo is voice-only with a single persona. InterviewFlowAI starts from a plain-English description: the AI asks a few clarifying questions, then drafts the scenario, character and scoring criteria for you to edit. You can set the difficulty, six personality sliders and up to 15 hidden facts, and choose a photo or live animated avatar. Seven templates include a frustrated customer escalation, a production incident and a difficult feedback conversation.

Bottom line: Kendo builds sales prospects from your own calls. InterviewFlowAI gives finer control over how the character behaves and covers roles outside sales.

Scoring and evidence

Kendo scores against BANT, MEDDPIC or custom scorecards, and its screening tool returns transcripts, areas for improvement and call scores. One G2 reviewer notes that the AI sometimes raises objections other than the ones configured. InterviewFlowAI scores 3 to 12 weighted criteria from 0 to 5 and combines them into a 0–100 score, with must-pass rules and a recommendation from Strong yes to No. Reports show strengths, gaps, red flags, hidden facts uncovered and evidence that jumps to the right moment in the recording, and export to PDF. There's no automatic pass mark: your team decides who moves forward.

Bottom line: both score against your criteria. InterviewFlowAI's reports are built to compare candidates and share with hiring managers.

Hiring workflow

Kendo's screening page promises you'll "Never Make A Bad Sales Hire Again": build an AI prospect, share it "with the click of a button", and review the applicant's transcript and scores. Outdoo, a competitor, says candidates receive a role-play link. The page doesn't mention an ATS, attempt limits or which plan includes screening.

In InterviewFlowAI, you can send a role play to candidates already in your AI interview pipeline, to up to 50 people added by hand, or to a CSV of up to 500. Each person gets a unique link, needs no account, and has one attempt. Results appear in the role play report, the candidate's InterviewFlowAI report and a PDF. ATS integrations (Greenhouse, Ashby, Teamtailor, Workable and Recruit CRM) are available on Growth and above for the AI interview pipeline.

Bottom line: Kendo screens sales hires inside a sales coaching tool. InterviewFlowAI screens candidates across roles inside a hiring pipeline.

Training depth

This is Kendo's home ground. Reps can practise repeatedly within their minutes, live calls are scored from bundled hours, and Kendo positions itself as an "AI sales manager" with manager automation. Customers named on its site include SamCart and United Insurance Pros. InterviewFlowAI doesn't score real calls or offer leaderboards, and each person gets one attempt per role play.

Bottom line: for ongoing sales coaching, choose Kendo.

Integrations, security and setup

Kendo connects to Slack, HubSpot, Zoom, Fathom, Outreach, Salesloft, Salesforce, Aloware and Close, plus Zapier, webhooks and a Push API. It offers SSO, SAML and 2FA, and says it's "currently undergoing SOC type II certification". Both tools are self-serve. In InterviewFlowAI you draft a role play from a prompt, publish it and send invites from your account.

Bottom line: Kendo fits a sales tech stack; InterviewFlowAI fits a recruiting stack.

Switching from Kendo AI for hiring

Kendo bills monthly per seat, so there's little lock-in. Most teams would move only the hiring job and keep Kendo for rep coaching.
