Hyperbound vs Second Nature: which is better?

Hyperbound is the better fit for sales teams that want realistic cold-call practice, real-call scoring and a free plan; it has 4.9 on G2. Second Nature fits enterprise L&D teams that need LMS integration, certifications and video avatars; it has 4.7 on G2. Both are quote-only. Checked 11 October 2026.

The two tools in brief

Hyperbound in brief

Hyperbound was founded in 2023 (Y Combinator Summer 2023), is based in San Francisco and announced a $15M Series A led by Peak XV Partners in September 2025. It sells AI buyer role plays and real-call scoring to B2B sales teams through two plans: Practice and Perform, licensed separately per user, plus a free plan with prebuilt role plays. Prices aren't published; Vendr reports a median contract of $12,000 a year. Named customers include Autodesk, Monday.com and Bloomberg. G2: 4.9.

Second Nature in brief

Second Nature was founded in 2018 in Israel, is based in Tel Aviv and raised a $22M Series B led by Sienna VC in October 2025. It focuses on enterprise sales and customer-service training, with LMS integrations, certifications, gamification and a built-in course builder. It's quote-only; Outdoo, a competitor, reports $50 per active user per month and a minimum around $20,000 a year. SiliconANGLE names Zoom, Oracle and Adobe as customers. G2: 4.7.

Head-to-head by category

Pricing

Neither vendor publishes prices. Hyperbound prices per user and licenses Practice and Perform separately; Vendr reports a median of $12,000 a year (range $11,680 to $30,624). Second Nature reportedly sells credits, where one credit covers one active user for one month: Outdoo, a competitor, reports $50 a credit and a minimum around $20,000 a year, and Whatfix, another competitor, cites Vendr data of $19,000 to $26,700. Second Nature's own pricing page returned an error when we checked.

For a 10-rep team over a year, our estimates are about $8,400 to $12,000 for Hyperbound (Outdoo's reported $70 per user per month at 50 seats, up to Vendr's median) and $6,000 to about $20,000 for Second Nature ($50 per credit, or the reported minimum). Both are estimates; get quotes.

Bottom line: both are opaque. Hyperbound's free plan lowers the cost of trying it.

Realism and formats

Hyperbound is voice-first. Its help centre covers multi-party role plays, and ZoomInfo, a competitor, reports up to four AI buyers in one call and screen-share demo practice. Outdoo, another competitor, credits its cold-call voice realism. Second Nature offers live AI personas, webcam pitch recordings, slide presentations and screen-share demos, plus group and chat formats (per Outdoo). Its video avatars currently work for English, single-persona role plays. A Capterra reviewer wrote that "talking to a robot feels a little... robotic". Both list 25 or more languages; Second Nature notes English with 12 or more accents.

Bottom line: Hyperbound for cold-call voice practice; Second Nature for a wider mix of pitch, presentation and avatar formats.

Scoring

Hyperbound uses custom AI scorecards on paid plans. Second Nature returns scores in 45 to 90 seconds, with a default weighting of 70% knowledge and 30% style that you can adjust, and reps can request a score review. Reviews quoted by Outdoo say Second Nature's AI can expect answers phrased a particular way.

Bottom line: both let you set criteria; Second Nature documents its default weighting and a review process.

Training depth

Hyperbound's Perform plan scores real customer calls, and it offers leaderboards, competitions and certifications. Second Nature has leaderboards, gamified challenges, certifications and a built-in course builder. PitchMonster, a competitor, says Second Nature has no conversation-intelligence product; Outdoo mentions a Deal Coach for live deal guidance.

Bottom line: Hyperbound for real-call scoring; Second Nature for structured courses and certifications.

Integrations

Hyperbound's Practice plan connects to Seismic, Highspot, WorkRamp, Workday, Okta, Rippling, Slack and Teams; Perform adds Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics, Gong, Zoom and Orum. Second Nature integrates with Cornerstone, Docebo, SuccessFactors and Adobe Learning Manager, plus Salesforce and HubSpot, and supports SCORM, an API, SCIM and SAML SSO. Hyperbound shows SOC 2 and GDPR badges; Second Nature hosts on GCP in the Netherlands and says it adheres to GDPR, SOC 2 and CCPA.

Bottom line: Hyperbound fits a sales tech stack; Second Nature fits an LMS-centred L&D stack.

Hiring support

Hyperbound documents a recruiting setup: create a recruiting bot, attach a scorecard, share the bot link with applicants and review results in a separate Recruiting Org where candidates join as members. Second Nature's HR page says AI can interview applicants or have them deliver a sample pitch and gives each an objective score, but doesn't explain candidate links. Neither documents ATS integration, attempt limits, anti-cheating or how candidates are priced.

Bottom line: Hyperbound documents more of a hiring flow, but neither is built around one.

Reviews

Hyperbound has 4.9 on G2, with sub-scores of 9.6 for ease of use, 9.9 for setup, 9.9 for support and 10.0 for product direction. Second Nature has 4.7, with 9.5, 9.7, 9.3 and 6.4. G2 complaint themes are small for Hyperbound (session issues 2, call issues 1) and larger for Second Nature (inaccurate information 21, learning curve 15).

Bottom line: Second Nature has the deeper review record; Hyperbound has the higher scores from a smaller base.

Choose Hyperbound or Second Nature

If you're hiring: a third option

Both tools are built for training employees. If your main job is screening candidates, InterviewFlowAI is built for that instead. You describe a scenario and the AI drafts the AI role play. Each candidate gets a unique link with no account and one attempt, so everyone faces the same scenario under the same conditions. Reports score 3 to 12 weighted criteria into a 0–100 score with must-pass rules, give a recommendation from Strong yes to No, and include the recording, transcript, timestamped evidence and a PDF. Role plays sit next to AI interviews in one pipeline; read more about role play interviews for hiring.

A scored role play costs $1.99, month to month, with no seat fees. See InterviewFlowAI pricing. It doesn't replace either tool for training: there are no leaderboards, LMS or CRM links, or real-call scoring, and each person gets one attempt per role play.

How we compared

Second Nature's pricing page returned an error that day, so its figures come from third parties. Outdoo, ZoomInfo, Whatfix and PitchMonster sell competing products, and Hyperbound publishes its own comparison with Second Nature; we've labelled figures that come from competitors. We make InterviewFlowAI, which appears here only as an option for hiring. If anything here is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.
