The two tools in brief

Second Nature in brief

Founded in 2018 and based in Tel Aviv, Second Nature raised a $22M Series B in October 2025. It's an AI role-play specialist for enterprise sales and customer-service training, with LMS integrations, certifications, gamification, a built-in course builder and video avatars for English, single-persona role plays. It's quote-only; Outdoo, a competitor, reports $50 per active user per month and a minimum around $20,000 a year. G2: 4.7; Capterra: 5.0.

Mindtickle in brief

G2: 4.7; Capterra: 4.8.

Head-to-head by category

Scope

Second Nature is built around role play, with a course builder added. Mindtickle is built around enablement, with role play added. Mindtickle publishes its own "Mindtickle vs Second Nature" comparison, which is vendor-authored. ZoomInfo, a competitor, suggests teams under 50 reps may find Mindtickle overwhelming.

Bottom line: pick the scope you need. A role-play specialist is simpler; a suite replaces more tools.

Pricing and contracts

Neither publishes prices. For Second Nature, Outdoo, a competitor, reports $50 per credit, where one credit covers one active user for one month, and a minimum around $20,000 a year; Whatfix, another competitor, cites Vendr data of $19,000 to $26,700. Second Nature's contract terms aren't documented. For Mindtickle, Vendr reports the $44,356 median, onboarding of $10,000 to $50,000 or more and one- to three-year terms. ZoomInfo says Mindtickle contracts auto-renew unless cancelled 30 days in advance and that two-way AI role play costs extra beyond base packages.

For a 10-rep team over a year, our estimates are $6,000 to about $20,000 for Second Nature (reported) and at least about $11,157 plus onboarding for Mindtickle (Vendr's low end; the median is $44,356).

Bottom line: on reported figures, Second Nature is the lower-cost entry. Get quotes for your user count and modules.

Formats and personalisation

Second Nature offers live AI personas, webcam pitch recordings, slide presentations, screen-share demos and video avatars. It builds personas from descriptions, uploaded documents and knowledge-base articles, and extracts best practices from recorded calls into checklists. Mindtickle offers voice role plays with a choice of buyer voice, screen-share demos, and written, audio and video scenarios. It can personalise role plays to each rep's skill gaps and generate "Real Deal" role plays from CRM deal data. Mindtickle reports an average session of about 3 minutes.

Bottom line: Second Nature has more presentation formats; Mindtickle ties role plays to CRM data and skill gaps.

Scoring

Second Nature scores in 45 to 90 seconds with a default 70% knowledge and 30% style weighting that you can adjust. Mindtickle scores talk ratio, pace, filler words, value selling, competitive differentiation and custom methodologies.

Bottom line: both support custom criteria; Mindtickle measures more delivery metrics.

LMS and integrations

Second Nature integrates with Cornerstone, Docebo, SuccessFactors and Adobe Learning Manager, plus Salesforce and HubSpot, with SCORM, an API, SCIM and SAML SSO. Mindtickle brings its own LMS, deep Salesforce integration and, per ZoomInfo, 100+ integrations. For real calls, Mindtickle offers Behavior Intelligence and sells Call AI separately; PitchMonster, a competitor, says Second Nature has no conversation-intelligence product.

Bottom line: Second Nature if you keep your LMS; Mindtickle if you want one platform.

Security

Second Nature hosts on GCP in the Netherlands and says it adheres to GDPR, SOC 2 and CCPA. ZoomInfo lists Mindtickle's ISO 27001, 22301, 27701, 27017, 27018 and 42001 certifications, plus SOC 2, HIPAA and GDPR.

Bottom line: Mindtickle publishes the longer list of certifications.

Reviews

Both score 4.7 on G2. Second Nature's G2 complaint themes include inaccurate information (21) and learning curve (15). Capterra reviewers of Mindtickle mention setup feeling "a bit overwhelming at times" and reporting that needs trial and error.

Bottom line: equal G2 ratings.

Hiring support

Second Nature's HR page says AI can interview applicants or have them deliver a sample pitch and gives each an objective score. Mindtickle's July 2026 recruiting guide describes candidates practising with an AI buyer "as many times as the process allows" and notes that "the recording and the breakdown inform the decision; they don't make it". Neither documents candidate links, ATS integration or candidate pricing.

Bottom line: both talk about hiring; neither documents a candidate flow.

Choose Second Nature or Mindtickle

If you're hiring: a third option

Both platforms are built for training people you've already hired. To assess candidates before you hire them, InterviewFlowAI sends each one a scored voice AI role play through a unique link with no account and one attempt. Reports score 3 to 12 weighted criteria into a 0–100 score with must-pass rules and a recommendation from Strong yes to No, with the recording, transcript and a PDF. Role plays sit next to AI interviews in one pipeline; see role play interviews for hiring.

It costs $1.99 per role play, month to month, with no seat fees or onboarding fees. See InterviewFlowAI pricing. It isn't an enablement platform: there's no LMS, content management, certifications or conversation intelligence, and each person gets one attempt per role play. Many teams would keep Second Nature or Mindtickle for training and add a hiring tool.

How we compared

We checked both vendors' product pages, FAQs and blogs on 11 October 2026, plus G2, Capterra and Vendr. Second Nature's pricing page returned an error that day, so its figures come from Outdoo and Whatfix, which sell competing products, and Mindtickle's own comparison page is vendor-authored. We've labelled figures that come from competitors. We make InterviewFlowAI, which appears here only as an option for hiring. If anything here is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.
