· Prices checked 11 October 2026

InterviewFlowAI publishes this guide and is one of the tools listed. Every other entry uses the tool's own pages and labelled third-party data.

Mindtickle is the most complete enablement suite, but its AI role play comes with enterprise pricing (Vendr median $44,356 a year), onboarding fees and multi-year terms. If you mainly need role play, specialist tools cost less and start faster; if you need to assess job candidates, InterviewFlowAI prices per scored session. We compared six alternatives and our own product on pricing, candidate screening and training depth.

The 7 best Mindtickle alternatives

1. InterviewFlowAI: best for screening job candidates

What it is: an AI interview platform with scored AI voice role plays, launched in October 2026. You describe a scenario, the AI drafts it, and candidates join through a unique link with no account. Each person gets one attempt. The report scores 3 to 12 weighted criteria into a 0–100 score with must-pass rules and gives a recommendation from Strong yes to No, with the recording, transcript, timestamped evidence and a PDF export. Templates cover sales, support, technical and management scenarios, and role plays can go to candidates already in your AI interview pipeline.

Pricing: $1.99 per scored role play. Month to month, no seat fees, no onboarding fee, 7-day free trial. See InterviewFlowAI pricing.

Where it falls short: it isn't an enablement suite. No LMS, content management, certifications, leaderboards, Salesforce link or real-call scoring. One attempt per person per role play, one AI character per call, and very few third-party reviews so far.

2. Second Nature: best for enterprise L&D inside an existing LMS

What it is: the most-reviewed specialist AI role-play vendor, with LMS links (Cornerstone, Docebo, SuccessFactors, Adobe Learning Manager), Salesforce and HubSpot, SCORM, certifications, gamification, a built-in course builder and video avatars (English, single persona). It's the closest like-for-like replacement for Mindtickle's training side.

Pricing: quote only. Outdoo, a competitor, reports $50 per active user per month and a minimum around $20,000 a year.

Hiring: its HR page markets AI interviews that give each applicant an objective score, but candidate access and ATS integration aren't documented.

Where it falls short: no content platform or conversation-intelligence product, and price and setup are reported pain points. G2 review themes include "Inaccurate Information" (21 mentions) and "Learning Curve" (15).

G2: 4.7.

3. Hyperbound: best for sales role play with real-call scoring

What it is: an AI sales role-play platform with Practice and Perform plans. Perform scores real customer calls and connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics and Gong; Practice connects to Seismic, Highspot and WorkRamp. It supports multi-party role plays, certifications, leaderboards and 25+ languages, and documents a recruiting flow where applicants use a shared bot link.

Pricing: free plan with prebuilt role plays; paid plans quoted per user, with Practice and Perform licensed separately. Vendr reports a median of $12,000 a year.

Where it falls short: sales only, no published paid prices, and no LMS or content library of its own. Its hiring docs don't cover ATS integration or how candidates are licensed.

G2: 4.9.

4. Exec: best for published per-seat prices and a free plan

What it is: an AI training suite for revenue teams and L&D. Role plays run by voice or video with up to 4 characters, plus group role plays, screen share, call scoring, courses, certifications, leaderboards and LMS links (LTI 1.3).

Pricing: Free (3 seats, 5 role plays per user per year); Starter $20 per seat a month (5-seat minimum, 10 role plays per user per month); Professional $39 per seat a month (15-seat minimum, unlimited role plays). Billed yearly.

Hiring: none. Its "Interview Training" use case trains interviewers, not candidates.

Where it falls short: seat minimums and annual billing, and G2 users perceive it as expensive. Salesforce integration isn't documented on its pricing or role-play pages.

G2: 4.8.

5. Outdoo: best for role play plus conversation intelligence

What it is: formerly MeetRecord, a conversation-intelligence product that rebranded in September 2025. It combines AI role play with call scoring on one scorecard for practice and real calls, and offers voice, chat, video avatars and multi-persona role plays, 40+ LMS integrations (SCORM, xAPI, LTI) and a Salesforce AppExchange listing.

Pricing: Free plan with 60 minutes of role-play credits per account; Growth and Enterprise are quoted. Outdoo says annual contracts are standard, implementation is scoped separately and most teams go live in 4 to 6 weeks.

Hiring: its "hiring assessments" product assesses existing team members, not external candidates.

Where it falls short: no published paid pricing, and much of its review base concerns the legacy MeetRecord product. G2 themes include call-scoring fairness (17 mentions) and rating accuracy (15).

G2: 4.6.

6. Yoodli: best for communication practice across functions

What it is: an AI role-play and communication coaching platform used across sales, management, customer support and public speaking, with real-time in-meeting coaching. Integrations include Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Docebo, Workday and Highspot, with SCORM and LTI, and it's SOC 2 Type 2 compliant.

Pricing: Starter free (5 lifetime sessions); Pro $8 a month and Advanced $20 a month billed yearly; Team and Enterprise quoted.

Where it falls short: no employer-side candidate screening; its interview feature helps job seekers practise. Team pricing isn't published, and it isn't a content or LMS suite.

G2: 4.8.

7. PitchMonster: best for sales role play plus call analysis in the EU

What it is: role play plus call analysis and an AI coach, with phone, avatar and screen-share modes, 29 languages and EU data residency by default. It integrates with Salesforce, with Gong, LMS and webhooks on its higher tier. Its hiring page runs every candidate through the same scenario and offers a coachability retest after feedback.

Pricing: quoted per seat. PitchMonster says most teams start with 5 or more seats on a 12-month standard contract, and seats can be swapped between reps. Capterra lists $39 and $49 per user a month, which may be out of date.

Where it falls short: no price on its own site, and no content platform. The hiring page doesn't document candidate links, ATS integration or anti-cheating.

G2: 4.9.

Which alternative fits your use case

If you're replacing the training side of the suite, Second Nature is the closest match. For sales role play only, compare Hyperbound and PitchMonster. If you want prices you can see, start with Exec. For role play plus conversation intelligence, look at Outdoo. For communication skills across functions, Yoodli. If you're assessing job candidates, InterviewFlowAI is built for that; see role play interviews for hiring.

For 10 reps over a year, our estimates are: Exec Starter $2,400; PitchMonster $4,680–$5,880 (Capterra list prices); Hyperbound about $8,400–$12,000 (estimates); Second Nature $6,000 to about $20,000 (competitor-reported); Mindtickle at least about $11,157 plus onboarding (Vendr low end); InterviewFlowAI charges $1.99 per scored role play with no seat fees, but has one attempt per role play and no leaderboards or LMS. See the assumptions.

When to stay with Mindtickle

Stay if you use Mindtickle's LMS, content, Readiness Index and Salesforce integration together. Replacing one module leaves the rest in place, so for many teams the better move is to keep Mindtickle and add a hiring tool for candidates.

How we chose these tools

We included tools that sell AI role play for sales or customer-facing roles and publish product information we could check. We read each vendor's own pages, G2, Capterra and Vendr, and labelled competitor-published figures, on 11 October 2026. Training estimates use published list prices where they exist (Exec Starter, Capterra's PitchMonster listing) and labelled third-party or competitor-reported figures otherwise (Hyperbound, Second Nature, Mindtickle). For a broader view, see our guide to AI role play software. InterviewFlowAI is our product; we've listed its limitations in the same format as everyone else's.
